Group Visits

The Gibberd Garden All To Yourselves

A Great Day Out

If you would like to visit as a Group you will be most welcome. Visits usually take place on Mondays, Thursdays or Fridays, when the Garden is not open to the public, or in the light evenings during Summer.

Refreshments can be provided, including a light lunch, morning coffee or afternoon tea. Groups may also bring their own lunches.

We would suggest allowing at least 2 hours for your visit, which can include an introductory talk about Sir Frederick Gibberd and the history of the Garden. Groups can also visit the Gibberd Rooms

The lane from the main road is half a mile long and single-track. It has three 90 degree turns and is a cul-de-sac. It is not suitable for large coaches, but access and turning are possible for minibuses and small coaches.

If you would like a full day out, for a group of ten or more we offer a Cultural Tour of Harlow in conjunction with the Friends of Harlow Sculpture. The Tour covers art, architecture, sculpture, garden design and the life of Sir Frederick Gibberd. Transport and a buffet lunch at the Gibberd Garden are included. There is coach pick-up from Harlow Town Station if required.
